Our team are professional, caring, trustworthy, mature and local individuals with a wide range of experience in child care and education. As mothers, grandmothers, teachers, nurses or carers they have all worked with children and know how to tend to their needs. All our staff hold

  • Blue card – issued by the Commission for Children and Young People – as required by law for persons working with children.
  • Senior first aid certificate
  • CPR training
  • Anaphylaxis training for children with allergies and special needs

Our babysitters are over 25 years old and have worked with us for many years.

Meet the team

Louise Davies,                                                                                                                                                                                                                      owner of Babysitters Port Douglas

Louise is an experienced early childhood teacher (Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education 0-6) and also holds a BA Hons in fashion/textiles. She has been a part time director of a pre-school and is a mother herself. Louise has been working with children from newborns to teenagers ever since leaving school, and now regularly babysits in Cairns and the Douglas Shire. She is available for day and night appointments and has had her agency running for over 14yrs.

 

Wendy Delafontaine

wendyWendy has worked with children for the last 30 years in Family Day Care &  Day care, as a school volunteer, in a kids club and in fostering. She is also a mum and grandma and states: “I really enjoy time with children and babies at every age and stage, have gathered some great toys, games and craft for babysitting and can’t wait to share my experience with your kids.”

 

 

Sue Trunley

sue-cropSue is a mother of three adult children with two grandsons aged three and five yrs old. She has lived in North QLD and the Mossman district since 1982, working in various areas of childcare, medical administration or aged care. Sue loves the Far North and what is has to offer for all ages.

 

 

Sharyn Vidito

sharyn-vidito-cropSharyn is married,  a mother of four sons and grandmother of two grandsons. She works permanent part time in a medical centre as a Receptionist and has lived in the Douglas Shire for over 20 yrs after living in Cairns. Sharyn has worked for other babysitting agencies before.

 

 

Justine Murray

jus-2-cropJustine is a mother of four grown children with her first grandchild on the way and has worked in child care since 1990 where she was the private nanny director of a childcare centre and the group leader of the babies room for 4 years. Now Justine is semi retired working as the bus driver for c&k/childcare Mossman.
